On October 27, Ambassador Guo Xiaomei met with Tallinn Mayor Mikhail Kõlvart.

Ambassador Guo thanked Tallinn city government for its support in hosting Happy Spring Festivals, congratulated Tallinn city on being rated the 2023 European Green Capital and ranking among the top 10 innovative small cities globally. Ambassador Guo also spoke positively of Tallinn of innovation, digitalization and green development. She said that China is also accelerating its digitalization. There is much room for cooperation between Tallinn and its Chinese friendly cities, like Beijing, Hangzhou and Chengdu.

Mayor Kõlvart congratulated Ambassador Guo on taking her new post, expressed his willingness to strengthen communication and cooperation with Chinese side in various fields, and introduced Tallinn city's efforts in encouraging innovation and the development of green technologies.
