On 31 October, the Chinese Ambassador Qu Zhe paid a courtesy call on the Estonian Minister of Health and Labour Jevgeni Ossinovski.

Ambassador Qu reviewed the cooperation between China and Estonia both at bilateral level and within the framework of China and Central and Eastern European Countries Cooperation. He congratulated the latest cooperation achievements between the health sectors of the two countries. The Ambassador identified some common challenges in terms of improving health care service for people in both countries. He hoped that the two sides could share their experience and join efforts to address some similar problems in health sector. Ambassador Qu also briefly introduced to the Minister the latest development of international cooperation on Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

Minister Ossinovski said he was satisfied with the cooperation between Estonia and China in various fields, including health care and medical service. He over-viewed the e-health and e-prescription system of Estonia, and hoped that relevant departments and health organizations of both countries could further their cooperation so as to bring more benefits to the people in both countries.
