On February 13, Ambassador Guo Xiaomei hosted the 2026 Chinese New Year reception in Tallinn. About 300 people including local Chinese community and Estonian guests attended the event. The reception was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere. The “Happy Chinese New Year·Jingchu Charm” Special Art Performance was staged on site, attracting nearly 1,000 audience and earning rounds of enthusiastic applause.
Ambassador Guo extended New Year greetings to the attendants, noting that China’s GDP surpassed 140 trillion RMB, growing by 5.0 percent year on year. New quality productive forces accelerated their development, and the green economy thrived. She emphasized that 2026 marks the first year of the 15th Five-Year Plan Period of China’s Economic and Social Development. China will firmly uphold the multilateral trading system, continue to advance high-level opening up, and share opportunities with all countries to pursue common development. China welcomes Estonia to actively explore the scale effects of the Chinese market, seize China’s sustained demand for high-tech and high value-added sectors, and expand bilateral cooperation in trade, economy, science and technology.
