Huawei Technologies signed agreement with Tallinn University of Science and Technology on future seeds scholarship program

In May, Huawei Technologies, a leading Chinese telecommunications equipment and services provider, signed an agreement with Tallinn University of Science and Technology (TTU) on the Future Seeds Scholarship. At the invitation of Huawei, the Chinese Ambassador to Estonia H.E. Mr. Qu Zhe attended the signing ceremony.

In his speech at the ceremony, Ambassador Qu Zhe congratulated Huawei Technologies and TTU on signing this agreement. He said that China is implementing the 13th Five-Year-Plan which focuses on innovative, coordinated, green, open and shared development. The success of Huawei technologies is one of the examples reflecting the progress made by China with respect to building a more innovative and creative economy. Ambassador Qu commended the achievements made by Estonian in terms of ICT technologies and e-services. He believed that the cooperation between TTU and Huawei would forge an alliance between two giants which were in the best interest of both parties. He hoped that the agreement would build a solid foundation for further cooperation between the two sides.

The Seeds for the Future Scholarship is initiated by Huawei Technologies, and the Chinese company has already signed agreements with many countries worldwide. The agreement signed between Huawei and TTU will provide training opportunities for ICT students studying in Estonia. According to this agreement, five TTU students have been chosen to go to China for a study tour in mid-June.
