Chinese Ambassador Mr. Qu Zhe attends "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition in Estonia

On April 23rd, the "Chinese Bridge" Chinese Proficiency Competition in Estonia took place at theAstra Forum ofTallinn University. Chinese AmbassadorH.E. Mr. Qu Zhe was invited as the guest of honor. Teachers and students from Tallinn University and Confucius Instituteattended the event.

 

Ambassador Qu Zhe thankedthe Confucius Institute of Tallinn University for organizing the event and applaudeditsefforts in promoting Chinese language and culture in Estonia. He congratulated all participantson their good performance and encouraged them to make more progress in learning Chinese language and culture. The ambassador hoped all the students are connected with Chinese people with the language and make their contribution to China-Estonia friendship.

 

The competitionwas consisted of three segments, includingwritten test, Chinese culture talent show and Q&A session. The contestantslaid out impressive performances such as Chinesepoetry reading, Chinese pop songs, Chinese folk music and dance. During the Chinese culture talent show, two contestantsof each group (colleague students and middle school students) won the final competition. On behalf of Estonia, the winners will participate in the final of the 15th Global Chinese Bridge Competition to be held in China later this year.
