H.E. Mr. Qu Zhe,Chinese Ambassador to Estonia,attended the publication of the first Estonian Chinese Textbook "Hiina Keel" at the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research on 21 December, 2015.

In his remarks, Ambassador Qu Zhe said culture and education exchanges have been the highlights of bilateral relations between China and Estonia. More and more Estonian are interested in China and its culture. He stressed that learning one another's mother tongue is very important to strengthen people-to- people understandings. Ambassador Qu thanked the Estonian Ministry of Education and Research, University of Tartu and University of Tartu Press as well as the Estonian Association of Foreign Language Teachers for their contribution for making this textbook possible.

Mr. Madis Lepajõe, Deputy Secretary General of Ministry of Education and Research, also expressed his congratulations to the publication of the textbook and commended the efforts made by relevant institutions as well as the authors.
