To satisfy the demands of increasing number of people going to China and better facilitate the applicants for Chinese biometric visa, reduce the waiting time and improve efficiency, the Embassy will increase Wednesday afternoon from14:00 to 17:00 as the consular hours (except for time in public holiday and Chinese festivals, prior notice will be issued), besides the previous afternoons on Tuesday and Thursday.

Application without prior appointment will no longer be accepted.

The Embassy kindly reminds the applicants of the following points:

1. All applicants must complete the visa application form online at the China Online Visa Application (COVA)through  http://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn . After successfully submit the application online, please print a confirmation page and application form generated by the system. Applicants shall sign name and date.

2. Please log in Appointment for Visa Application Submission (AVAS) through  http://avas.cs.mfa.gov.cn  to book time. It is advised to make appointment at least 20 days in advance. Delegation applying for official visa at the invitation of Central Government of China can make reservation through email directly.

3. With the confirmation page, application forms and all other relevant documents, applicant can come to the Consular Section of the Embassy at the appointment time.

4. Visa application fees can be paid through POS and bank card at the time of pick-up, or through prior bank counter transfer(after the Embassy accepts the application). Cash is not accepted for all consular service.

5. For all email inquiry about visa application and appointment, please quote application number, passport number and applicant's name.
