As part of the programs of Chinese Week in Tartu, the National Sports Quiz for Estonian Middle School Students final competition was held at the Estonian National Museum on 25 April 2017. The event was co-organized by Chinese Embassy in Estonia and Estonian School Sports Union. 95 teams from 56 schools across Estonia took part in the quiz, but only 15 teams made to the final. Hugo Treffner Gymnasium won the championship and the grand prize for a 9-day trip to China this summer. The Chinese Ambassador to Estonia Mr. Qu Zhe and the President of Estonian School Sports Union and the member of China-Estonia Parliamentary Group of the Riigikogu Mr. Lauri Luik attended the prize-giving ceremony.

Ambassador Qu congratulated all the teams for their participation in the competition. He said the quiz helped Estonian students know more about Chinese sports and raise their awareness on leading a healthy lifestyle. He acknowledged the support from China's Soong Ching Ling Foundation. "We are glad that the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation invites the winning team to attend the international summer camp in China this July. The trip will bring the students to Beijing, Shanghai and Changzhou. The Embassy is pleased to make the trip possible," said the Ambassador. He encouraged the students who are going to visit China to make full use of the opportunity. "Harmony is built on the basis of mutual understanding between people. I hope the students will have a great time in China and make most of it-present Estonian culture to people from other countries, explore diversified Chinese culture in different regions, and, above all, build friendship with friendly and young talents from China and other parts of the world," the Ambassador said.

Mr. Lauri Luik considered it important that the youth develop their physical and spiritual strength together. "Our goal is that the young people could become successful citizens who are not only athletic but also smart", said Luik. He also hoped the wining team will take the opportunity to present Estonia to students from other countries and make new friends during their trip in China.
