On 26 November, the screening of the Chinese film 'Absurd Accident', selected by China's Shanghai International Film Festival and Estonia's Black Nights Film Festival, was held at Kino Apollo Solaris in Tallinn during the Black Nights Film Festival of Estonia. Together with more than 150 viewers, Chinese Ambassador Qu Zhe, the Executive Deputy Secretary General of Shanghai International Film Festival Fu Wenxia and Produce of the film Lu Yang attended the event.

After the screening, the Executive Secretary General Fu Wenxia gave an overview on the cooperation between Shanghai International Film Festival and the Black Nights Film Festival of Estonia. The Film Producer Lu Yang briefed the viewers on how this film was produced and answered questions from the audience. Chinese Ambassador Qu Zhe congratulated the Shanghai International Film Festival on their successful cooperation with the Black Nights Film Festival and hoped the two sides will bring more Chinese films to Estonia in the years ahead, so as to make further contributions to bilateral cultural exchanges.

Black Nights Film Festival was launched in 1997. It is Northern Europe's only FIAPF-accredited A-category festival. During last year's festival, with 650 films and total of 914 screenings, there were over 80,000 admissions in total. Founded in 1993, the Shanghai International Film Festival, is the only FIAPF-accredited A-category film festival in China. It is one of the supporters for the 20th Black Nights Film Festival this year. Two Chinese films were selected by Shanghai International Film Festival to participate in the Black Nights Film Festival this year.
