The spouse of the Chinese Ambassador to Estonia Mrs Jiang Li hosted more than 20 children from the SOS Children's Village, a charity organization of Estonia, at Ambassador's residence on 13 December 2015, celebrating the coming Christmas and New Year.

Mrs. Jiang commended the efforts made by the SOS Children's Village for helping the vulnerable children successfully integrate into society. She promised to work closely with the organization to help the children have a better life. Mr. Margus Oro, National Director of Estonia SOS Children's Village, thanked Mrs. Jiang and the Chinese Embassy for organizing the event which brought great joy to the children.

Lecturers from the Confucius Institute Tallinn taught the children how to do paper cutting and the Embassy staff demonstrated on traditional Chinese calligraphy. The children were quite interested and had fun in learning the traditional Chinese culture. A child played the accordion on behalf of the SOS Children's Village to celebrate the Christmas and New Year and express their appreciation to the Embassy staff.

Ms Jiang also presented books and sweets to the children as Christmas and New Year gifts and extended her best wishes to the children and the SOS Children's Village.
