From 31st August to 8th September, 2024, First Vice-President of the Parliament of Estonia and Chairman of the Estonia-China parliamentary friendship group Toomas Kivimägi and his delegation visited China. During the visit, the delegation visited Beijing, Zhangjiajie, Shenzhen and Hong Kong SAR.

Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zheng Jianbang, President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs Wang Chao, Special Representative of the Chinese Government on European Affairs Wu Hongbo, President of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong SAR Andrew LEUNG Kwan-yuen, Commissioner of China's Foreign Ministry in Hong Kong SAR Cui Jianchun, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Zhangjiajie Municipal Committee, Hunan Province and Mayor of Zhangjiajie Municipal People's Government Wang Hongbin, and Deputy Secretary-General of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee He Jie met with the delegation. The two sides had an exchange of views on China-Estonia relations, China-EU relations, as well as international and regional issues of mutual interest and concern.

Chinese Ambassador to Estonia Ms Guo Xiaomei attended some of the above-mentioned activities.
